The No Opposition in Power Glitch is a GPS glitch that disables the AI's ability to remove the head of state or head of government. The glitch appears in some countries' Opposition in Power scenerios, including China, Cuba, and Swaziland.
In normal GPS gameplay, if one or more domestic interests oppose the player's actions strongly enough, the AI will depose, assassinate, or otherwise remove from power the player's character. Usually, when the player's character is removed from power, the game ends. One exception to this rule is if the player's character does not, or due to term-limits, cannot run for re-election, but is succeeded by a politician from the character's party. The No Opposition in Power Glitch disables the AI's ability to remove from power the player's character, presumably except by election of an election opponent.
No Opposition in Power Glitch and Gameplay Edit
The No Opposition in Power Glitch significantly alters normal GPS gameplay, allowing the player the take a wide range of actions that would normally result in removal from power. In normal gameplay, excessive debt, lack of support from the most powerful domestic interest group or groups, goods shortages, domestic disturbances, low popularity, drastic policy shifts, or scandal can result in removal from power, often within the first minutes of gameplay.
Enabling No Opposition in Power GlitchEdit
